I was never really sure whether or not to run this blog. The problem is that once you've started, you probably have to keep going. I will try. It's not a bad way of telling my family and friend where I am at on my travels.
I am in Australia on what might be called a road trip from Cairns to Melbourne in a 2 berth campervan. A fairly luxurious one it is too !!
I started this adventure last Sunday(27 Jan) from Heathrow, taken there by my luvly daughter who gave up her Sunday pm to take Dad to the airport. As i travelled business class, I was able to spend a couple of hours in the Singapore airlines 'posh blokes' lounge and then travel in superb comfort to Singapore. They made a right fuss of me on the plane. Concubines bringing lovely food and wine, and blankets for when you are ready for sleep. The twelve hour flight to Singapore passed very nicely !!

Never been here before. Stunning place. Landed at the brand new terminal 3. It is like some kind of space-age Utopia. Absolute class, wonderful furnishings and every luxury you can imagine. There is a garden with swimming pool and relaxation facilities for transit passengers. Superb lounges if you are with Singapore Air or Emirates in particular. Just total quality.
I stayed at a hotel in the city, Royal at Queens, pre-booked for me by Travelbag. On the way from the airport, I learned lots about Singapore from the cab driver.c
